SpaceX and NASA Are Go For Launch!

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Dragon cargo spacecraft has rolled out to the launch pad at our Kennedy Space Center in Florida and is counting down to a Saturday lift off at 11:39 a.m. EST. This will be the first flight of the upgraded cargo version of the Dragon 2 spacecraft.

Ever wondered what’s onboard during a resupply mission? The Dragon cargo spacecraft will be filled with supplies and payloads, including a variety of critical research and technology demonstrations. Additionally, it will transport the Nanoracks Bishop Airlock, the first commercially funded airlock that will increase the capacity for external space research at the space station.

Follow the exciting launch by registering for email updates or RSVPing to the Facebook Event for the most up-to-date mission coverage. Family and friends can also let us know they’ll be watching the launch and receive schedule updates, information on where to watch, as well as access to curated resources.
